A high school diploma is a ticket to the future.

Join educators and coders from the Chicagoland area as we build next-generation technologies that extend learning in the classroom and beyond.

TEACHERS will get hands-on experience building  the applications that will shape the future of their classrooms. First-rate instructors from the Mozilla Foundation, the makers of Firefox, will lead a web literacy workshop. By the end, teachers will be able to write code and present a proof-of-concept.

CODERS will test their skills against a unique set of challenges and give back to the Chicago community.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A TEAM?

Hack to the Future is all about meeting new people. We will do a team formation activity on Friday. We aim to form teams of 6 members, with 5 coders and 1 teacher. If you would like to be on the same team as your friend(s), just let us know.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?

Hack to the Future is open to anyone from the technology and education sectors.  We welcome masters and novices alike, in either the teaching or technology tracks.  Most important, this is a learning experience. Be ready to get your hands dirty.

WHAT DO I BRING?

Bring your laptop, phone, chargers, and ideas on how to  help prepare Chicago-area students for career success!
